how WellNest came to life
Have you noticed how your surroundings can reflect your state of mind? As an interior designer, I've always known this connection exists, but I truly understood its impact when I hit a turning point in my own life.
My wake-up call came when I realised my space had become a mirror of my scattered lifestyle - exercise equipment gathering dust, endless "I'll deal with this later" piles, and chaos in every corner. As someone who designs spaces for others, this disconnect between my environment and wellbeing became impossible to ignore.
This realisation sparked something in me. Drawing from my interior design expertise and passion for strength training, I began reimagining how our homes could better serve our wellbeing. This was the genesis of The Design Corridor's WellNest concept.
I started by transforming my space, creating purposeful areas supporting movement and rest. A dedicated tranquil corner for yoga and meditation. A clutter-free zone for morning coffee and journaling. Each space was designed with intention, incorporating natural light, calming colours, and sustainable materials while maintaining my aesthetic.
The transformation was profound. As my space became more intentional, my daily routines naturally followed suit. This experience showed me how thoughtfully designed spaces don't just look better - they actively support our journey toward better physical and mental health.
That's what WellNest is about: creating homes that help you thrive, not just survive. Because in today's fast-paced world, we all need a space that helps us find balance, rather than adding to our stress.
